ESCAPE Cabin on Wheels Offers Comfortable Living Almost Anywhere

ESCAPE exteriorEntrepreneur and hotel developer Dan Dobrowolski and SALA Architects have created the ESCAPE cabin on wheels.

The ESCAPE portable structure measures just 392 square feet, not counting a screened-in porch or deck. The maximum amount of space allowed for a standard park model RV is 400 square feet. The ESCAPE feels larger thanks to a cathedral ceiling and its spacious interior design.

The portable cabin offers many advantages. It can be delivered and set up virtually anywhere, is affordable, and is ideal for a vacation cottage, guest cabin, rental property, or resort cottage.

ESCAPE interiorThe cabin on wheels is hand-crafted at a plant in Wisconsin. It is built with standard windows, trusses, roofing, siding, and floors. The cabin’s design was inspired by architect and Wisconsin native Frank Lloyd Wright’s love of nature and attention to detail.

The screened-in porch can be used as an outdoor living room or sleeping area. It includes a heated, red and white striped chaise that keeps guests comfortable while conserving energy by not heating the entire room.

The ESCAPE includes a full-size kitchen, built-in cabinets, plenty of closets and hanging space, a modern bathroom with a walk-in tile shower and double vanity, and a fireplace for extra heat. Its standard features include ceiling fans, a water heater, and recessed lighting. Occupants can add additional options, such as staining, stone, hardwood floors, heated floors, a stackable washer and dryer, and a steam shower.

The ESCAPE is designed to be environmentally friendly by using all-natural materials, including sustainably-harvested lumber. The outside is cedar, while the inside is yellow pine. It features energy-efficient LED lighting and ENERGY STAR appliances. The portable cabin is easy to set up, and the utilities simply need to be plugged in. It can receive energy from solar power.
